GOOD MORNING NEW YORK ... HELLO HAMPTONS!

We all know the sights of New York, the things everyone always talks about. Some of us were fortunate  to have stayed in the Big Apple. We have cued up to stare down the Empire State Building and probably more than once we ferried around the Queen of New York which is to date: Grand Dame Ms. Liberty.

But leave all this behind and you find yourself on the Express Highway to the Hamptons and to a lifestyle most of us can only dream about. This is where "the other half" have their Holiday Homes. Long sandy beaches stretch along the Atlantic Sea and just behind the dunes you can catch glimpses of the beautiful, white and grey shingled Houses which we are all too familiar with from watching American movies like "Something's Gotta Give"! (One of my all time favorite films by the way ... starring Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson)! Rent it on iTunes the next time you fancy a nice evening in!

We might not be able to join Ralph Lauren and Gwyneth Paltrow as new neighbors in the Hamptons, but we can take inspiration from the home deco those houses are so famous for. This is were our brilliant "New England Style" supplier LEXINGTON COMPANY comes into play.

Mr. ds and I have been fans of Lexington way back when we lived in London and Cornwall. Cornwall's North coast has a huge resemblance to the Hamptons, so we were right at home there. (although without quite the steep price tags and minus Ralphy owning a home there).
